Caramel - Berry - Sweet
The legacy of the Saxon Electors can still be admired throughout Dresden today. In their time, they not only shaped the cityscape of Dresden with their architectural masterpieces, but also made a significant contribution to the cultural, social and political development of all of Germany. What coffee did they drink? Probably the finest coffee beans that could be found at the time. Our Electors' coffee blend is intended to reflect exactly this - with its caramel-sweet cup profile and a delicate sweetness, it is ideal as a princely filter coffee.
Our preparation recommendation
Our Kurfürsten coffee presents a unique, noble cup profile - worthy of an Kurfürsten. The medium roast level provides a little more acidity, which combines perfectly with the fruity-sweet aromas. It is ideal for all filtered preparation methods.
filter coffee machine
Sweet and mild cup profile with fruity aromas. A pleasant caramel note rounds off the profile.
French Press
Intense caramel note with fruity sweetness - a real treat even when over-extracted (left to stand for a long time).
Pour Over
Light sweetness, fruity aromas and a pleasant cup profile with notes of stone fruits.
About the green coffee
Our coffee from the Electors of Switzerland comes from two different growing countries: Ethiopia and Nicaragua. The medium roasting level develops the green coffee from Ethiopia excellently and brings a sweetness and fruitiness to the cup profile that would have been worthy of an Elector.
We source our coffee from Ethiopia directly from a cooperative.
